Happy Mother’s Day!

I was fortunate to grow up in a household with a mom who is an amazing cook.  She instilled in me the importance of eating and preparing good food.  Although I didn’t do much in the way of cooking while I lived at home, I did manage to pick up  a love of good food and a few cooking skills somewhere along the way.

I know I wasn’t always the easiest child to parent (biting others is apparently not acceptable social behaviour) but my mom somehow resisted the urge to ditch me at the grocery store when I got lost.   To my mom, thanks for not giving me away to the circus (clowns are seriously too scary for words) and for always being there when I needed a shoulder to cry on, a hug or advice about not setting the kitchen on fire!

To all the moms out there, thank you for all that you do.  You are loved and appreciated in so many ways that cannot be adequately put into words. Happy Mother’s Day!  Go enjoy how fabulous you are with a big slice of cake 🙂

  1. Biting others is not acceptable social behaviour? So, THAT’s why I don’t get invited back to places … thanks for the clarification! (awesome pic, too)
