Cheap eats – falafel in le Marais

Last night I was invited to dinner by a lovely woman who participated in my macarons class.  We went to a place called L’as du Fallafel.  This is not a fancy shmancy restaurant by any stretch of the imagination, but they make a mean falafel.  For 7 euros, you get a really big falafel sandwich (5 euros for take away)

I also recommend the eggplant dish.  They manage to turn the bitter purple vegetable into a super fantastique fiesta!

L’As du Fallafel is located at 34 rue des Rosiers and is closed on Saturday.

These look very tasty. I find that it’s difficult to find good falafel … tends to be just so darn dry. I didn’t know you weren’t a fan of eggplant. Mutant Man can’t stand it … mostly because of the strange name 😛

Your posts contain more and more French … soon it will be 100% in French 🙂

Normally, I’m with Mutant Man on eggplant, but this time it was tres tasty!

I think my hopes of becoming bilingual aren’t working out so well, but thanks 🙂 Tu es tres gentille!
